Incorporating anti-oppression work into the fabric of an agency is something many organizations aspire to achieve. But how do we get there? In this workshop, we will acknowledge the messiness of learning, and speak to the importance of embracing the process - the whole process - of organizational change. Natchawi Wadman and Jong-Ling Wu from Center for the Pacific Asian Family (CPAF) will walk us through creating a culture of courageous conversations, and the crucial steps of organizational change process, from vision and planning, to implementing the incremental steps led by and for BIPOC leaders. These conversations are the stepping stones to shifting from temporary “band aid” solutions, or transactional change, to investing in intervention, prevention, and policy change, or transformative change.
