Julie Andrews is an enrolled member of the Sicangu Band of the Lakota Oyate. She is currently employed with Riverside San Bernardino County Indian Health Inc. In the Native American Resource Center as an LCSW. Ms. Andrews has been a domestic violence advocate since 2004, a trainer for Option House and Safe/FJC 40 hr domestic violence advocacy training and chair of The Riverside County Tribal Alliance Domestic Violence sub-committee for over 8 years. Ms. Andrews work includes promoting awareness about historical trauma, impact on mental health and as chair of the TA domestic violence subcommittee has allowed her to create and foster partnerships with law enforcement, the district attorney’s office and partner agencies throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.
