Yunuen Ibarra joined the farmworker movement with Lideres Campesinas by coordinating health related projects in Farmworker communities to address healthcare inequity and disparities. Currently serving as the Director of Programs, she oversees the various programs and projects throughout the state of California such as Violence Against Women, Workers Rights, Environmental Justice, among others. She is from a farm working background and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from California State University San Marcos. Through Lideres Campesinas she has received training on Restorative Practices and Strategies, Strategic Planning, Victim Advocate work, Cultural Context, and working with agencies to further support the advocacy and leadership goals for the farmworker community.
