Description

Released in September of 2001, Learning Our Legacy is a timepiece for the anti-rape movement developed through personal stories and interviews with many of the women who founded and worked during the early days of rape crisis organizing in California. It highlights the voices of the early activism and organizing that occurred as rape crisis centers were being built throughout the state; documenting the evolution of rape crisis services into what they are today. By understanding the origins of the anti-rape movement in California, rape crisis centers can better shape their current prevention and intervention efforts. The complete video is posted below in two parts.
