Imelda Talamantes (she/her/ella) has worked in the movement to end sexual violence for over 40 years. She specializes in providing education and support for the Latino community and was honored in 1978 by La Opinion Newspaper and in 1980 by the Mayor of Los Angeles for her translation work. I

melda joined VALOR in 2017 as the Latinx Services Coordinator, where she provides training and technical assistance related to direct intervention services and prevention, as well as translating VALOR’s English to Spanish communications materials. She also assists with financial literacy and sexual assault training to rape crisis center staff and organizations that focus on community health for janitors and farmworkers.
