Virginia Garcia (she/her/ella) started her advocacy journey by providing direct services to youth in high school and adults released from incarceration who struggle with substance abuse. Virginia joined the anti-sexual violence movement in 2014 as a survivor advocate and transitioned to full-time staff, where she managed several projects, including the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) program, and worked with law enforcement, universities, domestic violence shelters, community partners, and supporting survivors in Los Angeles County Jails.

Virginia joined VALOR in 2023 as a Project Coordinator and she provides technical assistance, support, and logistics to grant-funded trainings, conferences, and campaigns. She leads in coordinating VALOR listening sessions, where she explores community organizations whose work intersects with sexual violence. Virginia has an Associate of Arts Degree in Paralegal Studies and certificates in Chemical Dependency, Crisis Counselor Advocacy, Disability Advocacy, and Legal Assistance.
