Description

The Science-based Treatment, Accountability, and Risk Reduction for Sexual Assault (STARRSA) Programs were created for institutional use and are most effectively implemented when understood and supported by all staff members and/or campus partners responsible for addressing sexual or gender-based misconduct on campus. This session provides an overview of the STARRSA programs and products, including the Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Program, the Active Psychoeducation (AP) Program, and the Contributing Factors Checklist, as well as information about the development process, implementation options, and experience from pilot sites.



Learning Objectives

  • Discuss the research foundation for STARRSA and the necessity for research informed approaches;
  • Provide overview of STARRSA programs and products, including background on history, development, and design; and
  • Review options for campus implementation.
